* Upon entering our room, we see that there are 2 double beds. We booked a room with 2 queen beds. When my husband went to ask about why we do not have 2 queens, the staff said "we cannot guarantee that our queen rooms will have queen beds in them" (what???).
Staff was attentive. Rooms were very clean. The only problem was that I lost my key and it was very difficult to get back in the building after hours
Great Hotel! Very clean, quiet, and professional staff. I would highly recommend it!
* We first walked in and the hallways smelled, we went into our room and the room smelled.
Extremely CLEAN . I was so impressed with my room I went downstairs to give my housekeeper a 30$ tip. I’m a very clean person and normally I have to clean up after housekeepers but this room looked like it was cleaned by someone with OCD lol. It was ORGANIZED, SPOTLESS and smelled AMAZING!!!! Maybe I got lucky but I stayed on the 2nd floor in a non smoking room double bed.
* The 1 star I gave was because the staff were nice
* would I come back here? NO, Nope, Negative, veto, not on your Nelly,
We never actually stayed. My boyfriend's base had a mandatory evacuation notice for hurricane Irma, and lifted said notice as the hurricane was passing through SC. We drove down through the weather with the highways flooding and everyone driving about 20 mph. Weather alerts from Charleston warned everyone to stay away from the area, as they had issued tornado warnings, tide warnings, and flood warnings. We called the hotel (our car ride had turned from a 6 hour trip into 10 hours and we were still two hours out) and asked if we could cancel our reservation, since we just simply could not get into the area due to the awful weather. We were told it was fine. We made sure to ask if we would have any cancellation fees and if we would still be charged, as we needed the money to get a hotel near where we were at that point. The man said we would not be charged, but to call Expedia to cancel it on their end. As soon as we got to the new hotel, we did that immediately. Expedia called the hotel for confirmation that we said we wanted to cancel so they could approve whatever cancellation request that they needed to. No one answered. Expedia called for the next 4-5 days to speak with the manager, and once they finally contacted them, Suburban Extended Stay denied our refund request. Even though we never stayed, even though the hurricane prevented us from entry into the area, even though we were told we would not be charged. So nice to see how they treat "guests" during major hurricanes, and that they don't respect the military even though they are a stone's throw from a military base.
Turn around and don't look back.
* The internet is terrible. Probably worse than dial up (if that still exist)
* There is one ice machine for the entire hotel so don't expect to get any ice
* The beds are uncomfortable
* the toilet will not flush at all if you have any other water running-sink or shower
