This hotel is next door to the North Charleston Coliseum and the Performing Arts Center. I've been to several concerts at both venues and always stay at this hotel when I'm in town for a show, I'd rather not drive home 2 hours late at night. I've never had a problem when I've stayed here. The staff is always very accommodating.
Location is super easy to get to, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean but the TV's were tiny, maybe 35 inches. Also there was no continental breakfast. Just be prepared to shell out 13 bucks for breakfast.
The Housekeeping staff is top notch. I can tell they spent time getting everything right. Each day I was very grateful.
Tip. The hotel is behind Wendy’s. It’s hard to find. It’s in the back parking lot of the Wendy’s.
Staff is awesome!!!! We went to a show next door at the convention center and a desk clerk agreed to walk with us across the bridge since it was dark. She ensured us it was safe but because we were a lil nervous she said I’ll walk with u. That’s great customer service!!!! She didn’t even hesitate. I think her name was Larisha(sorry i probably didn’t spell her name correct). Kudos. Every interaction with staff was great. The location was convenient. The only thing was the room needs a make over. Rip that carpet up and upgrade the tub.
I’ve been here for three days now. The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly. However I’m just surprised that a Hilton hotel would look this dated. It’s an odd mix here between modern and 80s. The bathrooms looks straight out of 1980, the curtains are the same. Lamps TVs and furniture is more modern. I’m just used to a different experience at Hilton’s. If it were me the bathrooms would get a complete redo.
The “Spa”is a broken hot tub, it shot copious amounts of water out of the hot tub. The gym is a few treadmills.
There is a lovely wooden walkway trail behind the hotel. You really really should look at it; it’s awesome. There are two outdoor seating areas. Both are extremely pleasant.
The food at the hotel was very good, but eat at the restaurant not your room. They will not give you real silverware to take to the room. Only plastic. It’s frustrating eating a $20 steak with a tiny plastic fork on a styrofoam to go box. I don’t understand why I can’t just have a plate and normal silverware to take to my room.
I felt safe here, and overall I would return. For the low price they charge here it’s a bargain hotel.
The staff are incredible. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and just lovely. The building itself is very beautiful and it's in a super convenient location. We had a pretty upsetting experience in our first room but we were promptly reassigned to a satisfactory replacement even though the eclipse is in a couple days and I'm sure they will be very full in the next couple days. I can't stress enough how helpful the staff is, every one we interacted with made us smile.
