The sales people are really nice but don't go here unless you have perfect credit or an unrealistically high down payment. I went in with a pre-approval from the website and they advertise that they own the bank and can get anyone approved. After wasting almost 2 hours and a lost of gas to drive up there I was told that I wasn't approved to finance anything on their lot without having a huge almost 90% down payment. Personally I don't like getting lied to just to get me in the door even though well before hand they knew how much I had as a down payment. Tru Auto has lost a customer forever because this is twice in a year that I go into a dealership of theirs under the promise of granger to get me into a new car and get my credit back on track just to get lied to.
BUYERS BEWARE!!! This dealer charged me sales tax when I made a purchase from out of state, claiming I would receive credit from tax assessor in Texas for the amount of tax paid - that is, I will only have to pay the difference upon registration. Dallas County Tax assessor refused credit stating I was misled. Made numerous attempts to rectify with dealer and just getting passed around... They basically stole $500 from me...
I bought my car Sept 9.It is now Oct 31 and my car has been in the shop for the same thing 4 times already.I called and talked to a manager there about putting me in a different car and all he could tell me is.What you had that car about 2 mouth now there nothing we can do but you have a warranty on the transmission and engine if the go.I didn't buy a car for the warranty I bought it for liability. I've been stranded at work yesterday and missed work to day.This place suck and would not recommend anyone to go there and buy there junk cars.
