My boyfriend and I went to this location today for lunch. We had the worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant. Our server Taylor had no self awareness what so ever. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted. Once we were greeted and sat. We waited another 10 to 15 min for our sweet teas.We ordered an appetizer at that time and asked a few questions about the menu, which she had no knowledge of at all. She disappeared for a long time came back to take our order. Once finished she went and talked to another table and had a 20 minute conversation with them leaving our drinks empty and our food was never rung in. Our app was brought to us cold, we received our soup and salad 24 mins after placing the order. The restaurant was not busy there's was no excuse but complete laziness. The kitchen manager came to discuss the issue, we asked for our check so we could leave due to our server not able to be found. He did pay for the food we had and apologized. I would highly recommend going somewhere else to enjoy your meal, so you don't have the same experience we had to go through.
I came in the other night to have dinner and had a fantastic experience. Quick seating. Everyone was friendly. Our server Morgan was awesome. She had our drinks and appetizers out within 5 minutes of us sitting. Our food was out quick and was delicious. I will definetly be coming here again in the future.
My husband and I came in today with our 2 kids for lunch. When we first walked in, everything seemed fine. However, as soon as we got to the back dining area we noticed there was a smell. I didn't think too much about it at first, I just thought it was something someone had ordered. As we were led to our table, the smell got stronger and our 4 year old even commented, "it stinks in here". I would describe it as a sour smell, almost like the carpet had been wet at some point and not cleaned properly. It was so unbearable that we had to leave as soon as we sat down. We were very disappointed because not only do we love Olive Garden, but this is the only one in Charleston so we don't go often. I'm not sure that I'll be able to get my husband back after this experience.
I would give this location an negative four if I could. A negative five would be my choice if it wasn't for the hostess and waitress. Let me start by saying this placed needs to be cleaned. The definition of clean that I'm speaking of is, when you start with the ceiling and work your way down to the floor. The ceilings are filthy, some areas have mold, the carpet is so dirty, old and stink it makes eating your meal distasteful. We were served wilted lettuce, go figure at Olive Garden. The womens bathroom hallway looks like my grandmother's living room, cluttered, with opened boxes and stacks of other junk. Go into the last stall in the women's bathroom, you would think that the only thing that happened on a daily basis was the up keep of toilet tissue. Horrible place. Destroying the Olive Garden brand.
I had the traditional spaghetti with Italian sausage. This was all very good. The sausage is the best I've ever had. The garlic bread could have a little more flavor. My wife had the chicken scampi. That was great also.
