Checked my wife’s purse prior to allowing entry. Need to post sign if this is a company policy. This is the main reason I won’t be returning. Popcorn bags and drink cups are smaller than I’ve seen in a long time. I usually go to the Citadel theatre in West Ashley. But yeah, violation of privacy is a pretty big red flag without adequate warning. We didn’t smuggle any candy or food in and if that’s an issue you should consider improving the quality and prices of your refreshments and snacks.
They are not prepared for crowds. They have no way of purchasing tickets online ahead of time, so you will have to stand in line far ahead of time if you want a ticket. Then, when you go in to the theatre lobby, they check your ticket right away so there is no place to wait inside for people to meet you because you have to present tickets first thing. Prices were fair, however, and I do like that you get to pick your seats. Needs some work on the process for heavy business days.
Our family really likes this theater. Large comfortable reclining chairs that will nearly lay flat. The concessions are very good price. Drinks are self serve with all sorts of flavors. You can get a large drink and a large popcorn combo for under $9. The tickets are generally cheaper than any other theater in town. We have a theater one mile from our house, but we drive 11 miles out of our way to go to this theater.
We love this theatre, it has new large reclining seats which I find to be very comfortable, more so than any other theatre in the area. Affordable prices on snacks and tickets, cheaper priced tickets before 6pm and they have remodeled most of the theatre so carpets and tiling are new. This is the only theatre we like going to. Restrooms are usually pretty clean too! You also get free refills on the popcorn and drinks, including the icees!
Great prices for admission and concessions(compared to other local theaters.) I drive right by Azalea theater to go to Northwoods. Best theater for value and comfort in the area.
