This is real Mexican food, not that bastardized version you get from the other so called Mexican restaurants. The people who work here are also very friendly, do not be shy to try something new because everything is good at this place

The name, Panaderia Tlaxcalita, implies this place is a bakery from the state of Tlaxcala. It's a Mexican goods store with excellent bakery items and an impressive, very impressive, meat counter where one orders tacos and a few other Mexican food dishes. I had menudo. Excellent! Loaded with tripe. The tacos are a dollar a piece!! They were as good, if not better than any tacos I've had in Charleston. WARNING! If you are not comfortable being with Spanish speaking people, don't go. Gringos are rare here. All, including the Spanish speaking folks we dined with, were wonderful. The store is extremely clean and organized. I purchased blue corn tortilla flour. If near, you should give it a try.
